RICS HomeBuyers Report
The RICS HomeBuyers Report is a concise survey provided in a standard format that ensures the inspection is thorough and that the surveyor looks at all parts of the property that are readily visible or accessible. It means for example, that where there is access to a roof space, it will be inspected. The report will identify significant defects, readily apparent potential hazards and essential repairs. It will also help identify points which your legal adviser should examine with extra care.
This level of survey report is less detailed and in our opinion doesn’t provide adequate advice in respect of older or more complex properties. Therefore, this level of survey report is generally recommended for more modern properties that have not been significantly altered or extended since original construction.
